Wonderful Autumnal Woodland Wedding! (Old Mill Aldermaston)

This week I conducted my final outdoor wedding of the season, and what a corker it was!

My lovely couple (right from the beginning) had maintained that they wanted a handfasting and this was the be the main part of their ceremony, and so I write a lovely bespoke script with some beautiful personal elements. It was reflective of who they were, acknowledged their outlook on life and was just as they had wanted it to be.

It was set in the amazing woodland area at the Old Mill in Aldermaston, and the natural backdrop of trees, and of course the river, were stunning. During the ceremony the trees shed their colourful autumn leaves so that we had natural 'confetti' gently falling over the whole area, and it was just wonderful. Their six cord handfasting was so intimate, and the brides were confirming promises and answering thought provoking questions in order for each binding to be made. Such a lovely moment.

With a bridal entrance that is one of my absolute favourites, and some lovely moments full of emotion, it was quite simply a beautiful ceremony.

Congratulations to the new Mrs & Mrs Johannessen, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day.
