Oh my goodness, today saw a lovely but very eventful ceremony at the stunning Mill House Hotel in Berkshire! My adorable couple, had an intimate ceremony which kicked off the start of their two day celebrations (and why not!!).
With the weather looking ominous, we made a decision to go for it with a fabulous outdoor ceremony using the new gazebo in the venue's fabulous gardens.
During the wedding, we had an emotional but upbeat dedication to the brides father, two lovely readings, and incorporated a mini-naming ceremony to welcome their little girl into the fold, (oh, and we confirmed godparents responsibilities too!). We then slipped back into the wedding ceremony seamlessly with a reading, just before the couple shared their vows and rings.
We were just about to confirm that they were husband and wife, when the rain came and put a halt on the proceedings! This fun couple sneaked in a first kiss, to raucous applause, and then we all dashed inside! I am told that during this final part of the ceremony outdoors, a rainbow appeared over the top of the gazebo, perfectly framing us all. . . .a magical moment :)
Ever the professional, we then resumed the ceremony inside (albeit a little drenched!) and the couple enjoyed a re-run of their first kiss, and then signed their certificate in front of all of those close to them. After walking back up the aisle (this time indoors), they joined family and friends for drinks and relaxed into their evening celebrations.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with this couple, and conducting their personal ceremony today in such a wonderful intimate setting.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Mitchell, may you and your wonderful family know much love for the future x
