What a lovely wedding, for a super special couple at the fabulous Gildings Barns!

I met today's bride and groom, many many months ago, and had such fun getting to know them and their story. They wanted a relaxed, personal and upbeat ceremony with  some of the more traditional elements added in too.

We developed a really detailed and personal script and the words evoked all sorts of emotions, as we recounted how they met, becoming a little family, and their journey to their wedding day. The couple created a marriage time capsule, and there was a lovely reading full of love and warmth.  The groom made some lovely and very brave decisions to include music in their ceremony as a tribute to his mum, and we concluded the ceremony with a fab alternative to throwing confetti (see my blog post about this here).

As I said my goodbyes to the family and the couple, I received such moving feedback, about how I had managed to combine sentiment with a splash of humour, and everyone was talking about it as I made my way through the groups of guests.

What a great start to the rest of their celebrations, and I wish the new Mr & Mrs Leggett a fabulous married life together!
